As promised, I am documenting the next phase we experienced pertaining to my topic.

Our arrival at AKAM did not have all the pomp and circumstance of the airport (because we are technically not directly working with them), but it was nevertheless very nice; we were shown our rooms, given lunch, showers, a tour and were warmly welcomed by all. In the evening, we met some of the students, as we dined with them. They were incredibly welcoming and easy to talk to. Plus, many of them were in our year, so we had things to talk about! It was nice to be able to say that we were in Mombasa for a CAS Project, without having to explain what CAS is.

Next, the meetings with the government officers!
